I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes

Nashville, TN, USA | TDOT - 2024–Present | DBFOM

Project Description

The I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes Project is a major transportation initiative designed to improve mobility and reliability along the I-24 corridor in the Nashville metropolitan area. The project will implement managed Choice Lanes along approximately 26 miles of Interstate 24, extending from downtown Nashville to the Murfreesboro area, one of the most heavily traveled commuter corridors in Middle Tennessee.

The project includes new managed lanes, interchange improvements, bridge modifications, and corridor-wide operational enhancements, aimed at improving travel reliability, reducing congestion, and supporting long-term regional growth.

The improvements are part of Tennessee’s Choice Lanes Program, which introduces managed lanes to key corridors in the state to improve travel reliability while maintaining free-flowing general-purpose lanes.
