Project Description

The Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project is a major urban transit infrastructure initiative in Toronto, Ontario, forming a key component of Metrolinx’s Regional Transportation Plan for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).

The project consists of a 19-kilometer light rail corridor running along Eglinton Avenue between Mount Dennis (Weston Road) and Kennedy Station. Approximately 10 kilometers of the alignment are located underground between Keele Street and Laird Drive, forming one of the largest transit tunnel projects in Canada.

The system includes 25 stations and stops, providing connections to bus routes, three Toronto subway stations, and several GO Transit lines, significantly improving mobility and transit connectivity across midtown Toronto.
